Insertion stitch embroidery of needle made lace encircles the table lamp in black cotton thread, creating an intricate repeating pattern that holds the eye and attention. The tightly pulled stitching causes a constriction of the twill, forming a parabolic cylinder of visiual tension.

The base is lathe turned ash that has an organic wax sealer. A six foot length electrical cord extends from the base with a two-prong plug. This is a singular artwork that gives any space a moody and warm glow when illuminated, and a depth of meaning when not.
